Troubleshooting

Quick fixes for problems you might hit in production. If you are still stuck, email support@techdocchat.com with your org name, approximate time, and a screenshot of any error text.

Upload fails immediately

  • Check file size against the stated limit.
  • Try a plain .txt or .md file to rule out format issues.
  • Disable browser extensions that block multipart uploads.
  • Confirm you are not logged in as a viewer role (viewers cannot upload).

Status stuck on “processing”

Indexing depends on AI and vector bindings in the deployment. If workers are misconfigured or an upstream API is down, processing can stall. Retry after a few minutes; if it persists, support can check server logs for your document ID.

“Indexed” but chat answers are empty

  • Confirm the document actually contains extractable text (not only images).
  • Ask a simpler question that clearly matches a sentence in the doc.
  • Try re-uploading after exporting cleaner text from the source system.

Cannot invite a teammate

You may be at the seat limit (members + pending invites). Remove a member or cancel an invite, or upgrade if your plan offers more seats.

Billing portal errors

Stripe portal links expire. Open Billing again from the app to mint a fresh portal URL. Ensure your Stripe customer ID is present for the organization.

Session / login loops

Clear site cookies for the app domain, try an incognito window, and verify your system clock is correct. Log out and log in again after password resets.
